About this program
DOE's SBIR program funds applied R&D in fusion, grid modernization, carbon management, advanced manufacturing, high-performance computing and nuclear energy. Release 2 topics emphasize grid-scale storage, hydrogen production and critical-materials recycling. Awards run 6–12 months with Phase II opportunities up to $1.6M. A required Letter of Intent precedes the full application.
