About this program

R3PEATS Grassroots Rigor Projects supports two project types that generate practical tools and shared knowledge to strengthen research practices. Metascience projects develop and evaluate tools, metrics, guidelines, or infrastructure to promote high-quality research practices. Laboratory Capacity-Building projects support labs in adopting new rigor- and replicability-related techniques or processes while tracking and sharing factors that influence research outcomes. This effort is a part of the NIH Common Fund's Rigor, Replicability, & Reproducibility to Promote Excellence, Accuracy, & Translation in Science (R3PEATS) program.

Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments); Private institutions of higher education; For profit organizations other than small businesses; State governments; City or township governments; Public and State controlled institutions of higher education; Special district governments; Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities; Others (see text field entitled "Additional Information on Eligibility" for clarification); Small businesses; Independent school districts; County governments; Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education; Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education; Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized).
